A Message from the new 2010/11 President, Steve 'Smelly' Smulders:
I would like to say a big thankyou to those who supported me and I am really happy with the guys who made it onto the committee. All the candidates were worthy to be on the committee and it is good to see so many wishing to help out.
Congratulations to Rick, Gary B, Rob T, Painy, Craig L and Genaro, with you guys on board I'm sure we will take MORBC to well beyond the next level, I'm looking foward to it.
Our efforts alone will get results but it is up to the members to pitch in where they can and make MORBC the club that everyone wants to race at and be part of.
There will be a committee meeting in the near future to work out who is doing what and we are going to let the committee members themselves decide.

WA State Titles 2010 |

Tebo cleans up at the AARCMCC Nitro-X WA State Titles!
Ryper Hobbies brought US Kyosho driver over for the WA State Titles, and he showed us why he's one of the worlds best. After top qualifying both classes (buggy & truggy) and also being the only driver to do 15 laps in both classes, he then went on to win both his semi's for pole position in the main finals, which he also won easily. The only thing he didn't win was concours - which was won by concours regular Ry Lefevre from Geraldton with his buggy, and local Ashley Whittaker with his truggy.

Thanks to all drivers who attended, and to everyone who helped to make it happen. In particluar to Liz and Darren Francis, for keeping the great burgers flowing!

Joondalup Hobbies ProAm |
|
|
|
The 49 entrants who turned up for the Joondalup Hobbies ProAm enjoyed the changes to the track layout, and even with it being held the weekend before the Nationals in Sth Australia, most of the regulars turned up for some close racing. Hot Bodies driver Ian Haley was in town from Queensland, and as always was a welcome addition to the line-up, racing his truggy. Jaicob Mann probably wasn't so happy about it, finishing 2nd but still an excellent achievement for the young driver. Another youngster on the podium in Buggy Sportsman class was Kyle Francis. The future of RC in WA looks good when you see these young guys doing so well. All in all, another great day of racing, well done to all who attended.
Buggy Pro - 1st Martin Wolhuter; 2nd Craig Laughton; 3rd Josh Pain
Truggy - 1st Ian Haley; 2nd Jaicob Mann; 3rd Trevor Whiting
